I received an email update about the movie Pope Dreams, yesterday. There’s lots of news, so it’s easier just to copy it for you to read…
Hello friends,
The exciting times are still rolling for our indie feature POPE DREAMS…
1) Distribution. Pope Dreams might soon be birthed to the world. We’re currently still negotiating, so we can’t say much more than that, but keep your eyes peeled. Along with getting subtitling and dubbed to other languages, Pope Dreams might also get a brand new title outside N. America: RHYTHM OF LIFE. Whether or not you like it, just keep in mind that “Pope Dreams” doesn’t sound so catchy in Hungarian.
2) More awards and kudos.
-We continue to be invited to screen all over. The most recent screening was this past weekend to a packed house for the Desert Film Society in Palm Springs. They loved it. We loved them. Our actors Julie Hagerty, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Phillip Vaden showed up to take part in the Q&A. They definitely loved them. We love them.
-At the Fylmz Festival in Nashville last month, we won the Filmhouse Spirit Award for Most Uplifting Film as well as second runner up for Best Feature.
3) More screenings.
For those in the L.A. area who still haven’t seen the movie, here’s your chance. Three Saturdays from now, at the San Fernando Valley International Film Festival. We’ve been nominated for two awards: Best Feature and Best Director. We’re the final film on the schedule, and best of all… admission is FREE.
Details at www.popedreams.com. For those outside L.A., check out the other screenings.
Hope you’re all well. Keep Pope Alive.
